Heritage project results

The results of the Stoney Middleton Heritage Project Survey has been analysed and presented in a report. The report was commissioned to evaluate the work undertaken to date, and can be read in full – Results of Heritage Project Survey Oct 2015.

The survey demonstrates the project’s successes. It highlights the extent to which local people have gained knowledge about the heritage of the village, (96% reported an increase) and importantly that this extra knowledge has added to the pleasure of living in the village, (100% agreed this). 90% stated that the project had been beneficial to the village.

There has been an increase in visitors (70% reported this) to the village, who have enjoyed the information provided by the heritage boards.

The website and the trails have deepened knowledge of our heritage and the gateway signs have helped increase pride in our village
