A History of Stoney Middleton Horticultural Society

Stoney Middleton’s allotments have been a popular feature of the village for many years, producing prize winning vegetables and flowers. The much sought after Growers Cup has been competed for since 1943. Other awards include the Tom Shaw Cup, Bramley Rose Trophy, White Cup, George Hall Cup, Warren Cup and the Francis Hall Trophy.

Each year the society hold an annual show where competitors gather to exhibit the results of their toils, including home produce and a children’s section.
